It’s countdown time. We’re heading to Ft. Lauderdale and meeting our cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas. We’re out of Novato on Friday and sailing on Saturday. I have begun my preparation for departure by creating “the lists.”
List number one is for my son, Alex, who is staying at our house with the dogs. It includes, as he says, everything he already knows. I feel much better repeating it. He doesn’t know, for example, that there is a whole chicken in the freezer for him. I think that’s important.
Then there is the list of what to pack. In order to pack it, I have to do laundry. So, I’m in the middle of a few loads of wash. And then there are the incidentals, like extra pairs of glasses and sunglasses, books I hope to read, and sunblock. Of course, there are the passports and tickets for everyone going on this trip…I have to remind my dad and sister to gather them together.
After re-reading this posting, I have decided that I am tired and need a vacation. Good thing I only have 36 hours to wait until I get one.
Talk to you soon.
